THE GAME
Abacotron is a daily arithmetic duel. Every day at 00:00 New York time the machine across the table deals five rounds: six number cards and a target. Combine the cards with + − × ÷ to hit the target before the machine does. Everyone in the world gets the same rounds, so you can compare your result with friends and share it without spoilers.
Besides the daily there is an archive of past days, an endless mode, a ladder of five machines to beat, live matches against people and weekly leagues. The rules are on How to play.
WHO MAKES IT
Abacotron is made and run by its independent developer, an individual based in Kazakhstan, not a studio or a publisher. There are no ads and no data sales. The game is free; an optional paid plan, Abacotron Pro, adds the full archive, endless play, league creation and cosmetics, and never changes the puzzles or the scoring.
HOW IT IS BUILT
- Every sprite, the room and the bitmap font are drawn in code on one pixel grid.
- The puzzles come from a seeded generator that checks every round with a solver, so each one has a shortest solution the score is measured against.
- The server times every round, so results are comparable, and results faster than a person can produce stay out of other players’ numbers.
- Analytics are our own and minimal (no third-party trackers, no cookie banner), and you can switch them off. Payments go through Paddle, our merchant of record. Details: Privacy and Terms.
