THE IDEA
Every day Abacotron deals five rounds. Each round gives you six number cards and a target. Combine the cards with + − × ÷ to reach the target, and try to get there before the machine across the table does.
BUILDING A CHAIN
- Pick a card, an operation and a second card. The two cards become one new card with the result.
- Keep combining. The round is solved the moment a card equal to the target appears.
- Only whole numbers that aren’t negative: a subtraction can’t go below zero and a division must come out even.
- Undo and reset are free: only your final chain counts.
- Can’t hit it? Submit the card closest to the target.
AN EXAMPLE
Cards 1, 4, 6, 8, 25, 50 and target 206:
- 50 × 4 = 200
- 200 + 6 = 206 — exact, in two operations, the shortest possible: 1000 points.
SCORE
- An exact hit scores 700 + 300 × (the fewest operations possible ÷ the operations you used): 1000 for a chain as short as the best one.
- A miss scores 300 minus 30 for every unit away from the target, never below zero.
- Five rounds, up to 5000 points a day. Rounds get harder as the day goes on.
THE DUEL
Your stopwatch starts when the target appears. The machine lays down its answer at its own moment; hit the target exactly before it does (or when it misses) and the round is yours. The day ends with a duel score like 4 : 1 and a result card you can share.

MORE WAYS TO PLAY
- VS: a ladder of machines, quick play and ranked 1v1 against people, or a room by code for 2–8 friends. First to 3 rounds; 90 seconds a round; the closest card wins a round nobody hits.
