Terms

Abacotron is a daily arithmetic duel: five rounds a day against a machine, an archive of past days, an endless mode, live matches against people and an optional paid plan, Abacotron Pro. The daily, VS, ratings, friends and leagues are free. The puzzle of the day changes at 00:00 New York time.

• You can play without an account. An account (sign-in with Google) keeps your progress across devices and is needed for ranked play, friends, leagues and Abacotron Pro.
• One account per person. Keep your handle decent: no impersonation, slurs or advertising; we may rename a handle that breaks this.
• You can delete your account at any time (Account → “Delete account”); see the privacy page for what that removes.

• No solvers, bots, scripts or other automation, no second accounts to move ratings, no exploiting bugs.
• The server times every round. A result faster than a person can produce is flagged: it still counts for you, but it is left out of other players’ statistics, and repeated flags in live matches pause your rating until we review them.
• We may reset ratings, remove results or suspend accounts that cheat or abuse other players.

• Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. You buy under Paddle’s buyer terms; Paddle charges your payment method, adds sales tax or VAT where it applies and emails the receipt. Help with an order: paddle.net.
• Prices are in US dollars as shown on Pricing and the Pro page before you pay: $2.99 a month, $14.99 a year or $24.99 once. The seller you see at checkout is Abacotron; Paddle is the reseller.
• Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Your first monthly plan starts with a 7-day free trial (once per account): cancel before it ends and you are not charged.
• Cancel any time in Account → “Manage” (Paddle’s customer portal). The plan then stays until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew.
• Lifetime is a one-time payment for Abacotron Pro for as long as Abacotron is offered.
• Abacotron Pro unlocks the extras listed on its page; it does not change the puzzles, the scoring or your chances in a duel.

• 14 days on your first payment, no questions asked. Within 14 days of the first payment for a plan (monthly, yearly or lifetime) you can ask for a full refund of that payment.
• Renewals are not refunded: cancel before the next billing date if you don’t want the plan to renew.
• When something went wrong on our side (a double charge, a payment that did not unlock Abacotron Pro, a long outage), we refund whatever the payment and whenever it was made.
• How: email hello@abacotron.io from the address you used at checkout (or include it), with the order number from Paddle’s receipt (or ask at paddle.net). We issue the refund through Paddle to your original payment method; when it shows up depends on your bank.
• A full refund ends what it paid for at once: a refunded subscription is cancelled and the plan is removed; a refunded lifetime purchase removes the lifetime plan. A partial refund (for example to make up for an outage) leaves your plan as it is.
• Apart from the cases above, payments are not refunded, including the unused part of a period, unless the law requires it.
• A chargeback or payment dispute decided against the payment removes the plan it paid for.
• If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, these terms do not limit your statutory rights.

The game, its puzzles, art and code are ours. Your results and share cards are yours to share anywhere. Your handle and results are shown to other players as described in the privacy page.

We work to keep the game running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of bugs. We may change features, seasons and leaderboards. If we ever close Abacotron or your account for reasons other than cheating or abuse, we refund the unused part of a paid subscription period, and the full price of a lifetime purchase made in the 12 months before; an older lifetime purchase is not refunded.

Abacotron is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

If these terms change, the date at the top changes too. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new terms.
